Where To Install Mount And Blade Warband Mods: Everything You Need To Know About Modding Your Game

Because developer TaleWorlds Interactive knows exactly how dedicated and excited their modding community is, mods are fairly easy to install. Any mod available for Bannerlord can be found on the NexusMods website. You can filter to what you want, or specifically search for something you want fixed, tweaked, or overhauled.

Like in previous parts of the series, Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord is heavily expanded by the mods created by fans of the game. Mods are a great way to improve the gameplay - by improving existing elements or adding completely new ones. On this page of our guide you will learn how to install mods in Bannerlord. There are two ways of installing mods - by using Vortex software or by doing it manually.

Where To Install Mount And Blade Warband Mods

At the beginning, it should be mentioned that any tampering with the game files (such as installation of mods) can damage or corrupt Bannerlord. Therefore, you should copy your saves beforehand. They're located in the C:\Users\[user name]\Documents\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord\Game Saves folder.

The best and easiest way to install modifications (game mods) to Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord is to use Vortex - the successor of the well-known Nexus Mod Manager. The following tips will show you how to install mods in Bannerlord by using the Vortex tool.

Downloading and installing mods to Bannerlord by using Vortex is very simple. Just visit the Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord Nexus Mods website and select one of the available mods. On the page of selected mod, go to the Files tab and select Mod Manager Download option. Vortex will be automatically launched. The tool will automatically download the particular mod.

You can install modifications to Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord manually. To do this, you must put the contents of the downloaded archives in the Modules folder. You'll find it in the directory in which you have your Steam installed, that is, Steam\steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\Modules. After placing the modification folder there, the mod should appear in the game launcher, where you still have to activate it.

Tip: You can skip this step and simply auto-enable mods you have just installed by changing your Vortex settings. In the side menu, go to "Settings" and on the rider "Interface" toggle the option that says "Enable Mods when installed (in current profile)". This will make it so mods are immediately enabled as soon as they are installed.

Complete Overhauls: These are the mods that change everything about the game, some of these are completely new games with their own storyline and maps. The only similarity is that you are still assembling your warband and setting out to conquer.

While other mods have a lot to offer, I have to admit that Persino is a personal favorite. I have a soft spot for fantasy and for mounting a killer wolf or dragon and charging over enemy soldiers as I can do here. Other games lack that, and the mixture of Dwarfs, Elves, Giants, and Humans create a useful fantasy setting that has some very interesting factions and troop lines. The minor factions play a big role here, and it even includes a conqueror who comes partway through the game with huge armies, tossing things into disarray and becoming a major faction.

Prophesy of Pendor is one of the better-known mods for Mount and Blade: Warband and for good reason: It's really good. That said, Prophesy of Pendor is also really hard and not recommended for new players. Prophesy has a lot of unique and different things about it, including the ability to create your own knighthood order, a lot of weird factions, as well as a rich world to explore. One of the standout things about Pendor is the amount of detail that goes into the world building of the low-fantasy realm, including the number of events, quests, goals, and more you can find. 2ff7e9595c
